Materials & Care

53% Merino wool, 38% nylon, 9% spandex.

Why not 100% Merino wool? We actually use a 90% wool blend for the majority of our sock. But we use a nylon reinforcement on the heel and toe for greater abrasion resistance and durability. Plus, we use additional Spandex in the shaft of the sock for compression (and to help our socks stay up for 14 hours straight).

So in the parts that really matter for sweat wicking and comfort (the shaft, the top of the foot, and the ankle) our socks are 89% wool. But at the heel and toe where your boots make the most impact on your socks, there's a much higher % of nylon so you don't get holes.

That's why we can offer a 10-year durability guarantee that a lot of people think is crazy.

Machine wash in warm water on gentle cycle with socks inside-out. Do not bleach. Tumble dry on low or hang dry. Do not dry clean.

A pleasant surprise

I, like many of the fellow reviewers here, was initially skeptical about these socks as I am with everything else I see on targeted ads. These socks have proven to make a difference in my quality of life that exceeds their price and exemplifies the saying "you get what you pay for" perfectly. I am blue collar and am on my feet in steel toes for 8-16 hours a day, 7 days a week. I was previously using thick merino wool socks and decided to mix it up when they were worn down and give these a go. I was initially worried when I saw how thin they are in comparison to my previous socks, but after the first day of wearing Camel City Mill socks, I was blown away by how good my feet felt. The compression the boot socks offer on your calves and feet help a ton, and the ventilation is nice too. They wick sweat well even in waterproof leather boots in a hot environment, offer support in all the right places, and so far have proven to be plenty durable. I wanted to wait a couple of months to review these to give them a proper trial and I ended up getting a few more pairs recently. Great socks, and well worth the price IMHO. Do your feet a solid and treat them with a good pair of socks from a good company! Also a bonus they're American-made!

Best I’ve ever had

Tough Socks for Tough Jobs

I bought a bundle of these workboot socks for my Son, that climbs towers & poles keeping our power grid operational. I also bought a couple of pairs for myself to try out. Most recently have used wool socks from another company but they're too short. I also have tried alpaca & don't find it to be as warm as wool. I think these are the perfect weight & size for workboot socks. We live in Western New York & we are having a real Winter this year with lots of snow & sustained cold weather. We both like the fit in the foot area. I appreciate these are made in the USA & don't mind paying for a premium product. Will recommend these to friends & family & will buy again.
