The Ironside Merino wool we use is 35% better at wicking sweat when compared to polyester socks, which is what most “sweat wicking” brands use. Our high density knit will keep your feet from sweating in your boots.

Materials & Care

53% Merino wool, 38% nylon, 9% spandex.

Why not 100% Merino wool? We actually use a 90% wool blend for the majority of our sock. But we use a nylon reinforcement on the heel and toe for greater abrasion resistance and durability. Plus, we use additional Spandex in the shaft of the sock for compression (and to help our socks stay up for 14 hours straight).

So in the parts that really matter for sweat wicking and comfort (the shaft, the top of the foot, and the ankle) our socks are 89% wool. But at the heel and toe where your boots make the most impact on your socks, there's a much higher % of nylon so you don't get holes.

That's why we can offer a 10-year durability guarantee that a lot of people think is crazy.

Machine wash in warm water on gentle cycle with socks inside-out. Do not bleach. Tumble dry on low or hang dry. Do not dry clean.

Best socks I ever owned!

Bought the starter bundle and they shipped out the next day. These socks are super comfy and my feet don't sweat anymore. Being someone with thicker calves the shorter socks are a tick tight on the tops. The OTC socks are perfect IMHO.
Wear all day, feet and legs feel great and they are wife approved at the end of the day!

Invest in your comfort

These socks are incredible. It was either this brand or Darn Tough and I found this brand first so I went with them. All the specs are true about these socks.

8 hour days (I could be called soft hands to some of you haha XD) in a fab shop, facility doors open, in Arizona heat. My feet are as dry as they were when I first put the boot on.

They don’t pull down either and stay put, no matter the movement you put to em.

I stand a lot and I haven’t looked into compression socks but to me, these provide a nice snug feeling too. Nothing too tight but reassuring enough that my calves/feet don’t hurt from swelling as the day goes on. (So it’s like a 2-in-1 sock. Score!)

The reinforcement on some parts of the socks are nice as it’s extra padding in common points that could blister on your foot.

My favorite part about these socks though, is how the toe box is (or I should say isn’t) sewn with that ANNOYING pinky toe thing. It’s such a relief that I never have to fear that irritating pain from those pinky toe sews.

These socks are pricey (same for Darn Tough) and buying them individually might not be recommended if you don’t already own one of the bundles. The bundles do save you a great deal of money and the greatest part is you can build your own bundle! I just went with the starter bundle (5 boot, 3 crew, 2 ankle) and each pair provides the same great benefits at different lengths.

Just like tires for your car, invest in the things that separate you, from the ground. Don’t cheap out on bad foot wear and bad socks. Rock these with a good pair of shoes or boots and never stress about sweaty feet or a funky foot!
