The Ironside Merino wool we use is 35% better at wicking sweat when compared to polyester socks, which is what most “sweat wicking” brands use. Our high density knit will keep your feet from sweating in your boots.

Materials & Care

53% Merino wool, 38% nylon, 9% spandex.

Why not 100% Merino wool? We actually use a 90% wool blend for the majority of our sock. But we use a nylon reinforcement on the heel and toe for greater abrasion resistance and durability. Plus, we use additional Spandex in the shaft of the sock for compression (and to help our socks stay up for 14 hours straight).

So in the parts that really matter for sweat wicking and comfort (the shaft, the top of the foot, and the ankle) our socks are 89% wool. But at the heel and toe where your boots make the most impact on your socks, there's a much higher % of nylon so you don't get holes.

That's why we can offer a 10-year durability guarantee that a lot of people think is crazy.

Machine wash in warm water on gentle cycle with socks inside-out. Do not bleach. Tumble dry on low or hang dry. Do not dry clean.

Heavy cushion in the toe and heel for steel toe boot comfort.

Great socks, worth the money, I personally like them more than darn tough which are also very good but these feel lighter and I’m a sucker for anything with an American flag on it!

Surprisingly Perfect

I’ll admit I was skeptical when I received my first pair of CC socks… they just looked thin to me. Turns out they are perfect! Like really really perfect. I have a pair from each of the top brands than claim all-day dryness and comfort. These actually DO keep my feet dry all day and even though they are thinner than said brands these have turned into my go to brand. Going on a third purchase to fill my sock drawer up with these boot socks. Hunting, hiking, fire, all day survey…they hold up, literally, great compression that keeps the sock in place all day. There is NO discomfort from wearing these bad boys and if you are stinky like me you could even get away with an additional wear before you wash em.

Best Boot Sock EVER!

First let me say I was skeptical. I wear boots all day everyday. Big heavy pnw boots. To say that they destroyed my socks and made my feet sweaty is an understatement. These sock however have changed all of that. After a day on asphalt and concrete at 100+ degrees they never rode down, never chaffed, never pulled. And to my amazement my feet were barely even moist after 16 hrs. The wicking on these is incredible. Now the boot socks are almost to the top of the calf and I probably could have gone with the crew but they relieved a lot of stress on the calf muscles so I'm sticking with them

Over my work lifetime (50+ years) I've spent a lot of time and money trying to find socks that are what the manufacturers claim them to be. Hardly ever satisfied at the results.
