Materials & Care

53% Merino wool, 38% nylon, 9% spandex.

Why not 100% Merino wool? We actually use a 90% wool blend for the majority of our sock. But we use a nylon reinforcement on the heel and toe for greater abrasion resistance and durability. Plus, we use additional Spandex in the shaft of the sock for compression (and to help our socks stay up for 14 hours straight).

So in the parts that really matter for sweat wicking and comfort (the shaft, the top of the foot, and the ankle) our socks are 89% wool. But at the heel and toe where your boots make the most impact on your socks, there's a much higher % of nylon so you don't get holes.

That's why we can offer a 10-year durability guarantee that a lot of people think is crazy.

Machine wash in warm water on gentle cycle with socks inside-out. Do not bleach. Tumble dry on low or hang dry. Do not dry clean.

So far so good

I am a supporter of Duluth clothing and I kept seeing these ads through Facebook and figured I'd give these socks a try. The wicking part really caught my eye since my feet will break out in rashes only during the summer if I wear anything that doesn't allow my feet to get air. I work 12 hour shifts with steel toed boots and wicking socks are very much needed. I've only been wearing these for about a week now and they are good socks.

BEWARE! I ordered the work boot socks and I only wear over the calf socks when wearing my work boots. My wife said you should have purchased the OTC socks. I figured I made a mistake when ordering, but when these socks came in, they are most definitely over the calf. I am 6' 3" and these are about 2" from the back of my knee. So I can only imagine how tall the OTC socks would be, they'd probably cover my genitals as well. In the winter time, it might be tempting, lol.

One pair that I found so far had a hole, possibly a missed stitch or something. I took pictures of the hole and contacted support. By the next day, they had already processed and shipped out a replacement pair. I am very impressed with the customer support and the MAJOR fact that these are made in the greatest country of all, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!

Worth the money

I told myself several times there is no way I’d pay this for socks. So the curiosity finally got the best of me and I ordered two pair. These are the best socks hands down. It was a 100 degree week here and I work in natural gas distribution, installing gas in cities. Meaning a lot of movement, and my feet thanked me for buying these socks. So if you are on the fence, just buy them, you won’t regret it.
