The Ironside Merino wool we use is 35% better at wicking sweat when compared to polyester socks, which is what most “sweat wicking” brands use. Our high density knit will keep your feet from sweating in your boots.

Materials & Care

53% Merino wool, 38% nylon, 9% spandex.

Why not 100% Merino wool? We actually use a 90% wool blend for the majority of our sock. But we use a nylon reinforcement on the heel and toe for greater abrasion resistance and durability. Plus, we use additional Spandex in the shaft of the sock for compression (and to help our socks stay up for 14 hours straight).

So in the parts that really matter for sweat wicking and comfort (the shaft, the top of the foot, and the ankle) our socks are 89% wool. But at the heel and toe where your boots make the most impact on your socks, there's a much higher % of nylon so you don't get holes.

That's why we can offer a 10-year durability guarantee that a lot of people think is crazy.

Machine wash in warm water on gentle cycle with socks inside-out. Do not bleach. Tumble dry on low or hang dry. Do not dry clean.

Cushion Details

Heavy cushion in the toe and heel for steel toe boot comfort.
Full cushion through the calf, specifically designed for all day comfort with 6, 8, and 10 inch boots.

Skeptic satisfied

I was skeptic about the claims for dry and comfortable feet with the Camel City Mill socks. Well I bought a bundle (3sox) and gave them a try and was totally satisfied with the claims. My feet did stay dry even when hiking and then working in the yard. Not only did my feet stay dry they stayed comfortable thought out the day. 5 stars. PS I love the USA Flag on the sox.

High price

Before my purchase of a single i was scared away by the price but i came back a few days later still looking for some relief after a 15 hour day of walking running and carrying a chainsaw and finally decided to buy a pair and im glad i did these are the most confortable socks ive ever had i can still feel the fatigue but its not nearly as bad as it was i will be buying more soon

Long but good review

I am lucky to be able to wear expensive heritage boots, so I decided to buy these expensive socks. I bought a pair of the 6” boots and loved them but they were too short for my liking. Decided to buy a 3 pack of the longest socks offered. Love them.
I on occasion have to wear a pair of steel toe boots that after about 3-4 of wearing cause this painful soft corn between my 2 smallest toes. Sadly I had a 12 hour shift in these boots today and wore the crew socks. No pain or moisture! I no longer fear wearing these boots. I will be purchasing more and use the smallest ankle high socks for my golf outings and more of the crew socks. They also felt like I was in compression socks for my lower leg. .
