Materials & Care

53% Merino wool, 38% nylon, 9% spandex.

Why not 100% Merino wool? We actually use a 90% wool blend for the majority of our sock. But we use a nylon reinforcement on the heel and toe for greater abrasion resistance and durability. Plus, we use additional Spandex in the shaft of the sock for compression (and to help our socks stay up for 14 hours straight).

So in the parts that really matter for sweat wicking and comfort (the shaft, the top of the foot, and the ankle) our socks are 89% wool. But at the heel and toe where your boots make the most impact on your socks, there's a much higher % of nylon so you don't get holes.

That's why we can offer a 10-year durability guarantee that a lot of people think is crazy.

Machine wash in warm water on gentle cycle with socks inside-out. Do not bleach. Tumble dry on low or hang dry. Do not dry clean.

Durability and Comfort

Was skeptical at first and was concerned about the higher price for a single pair of socks. However, I was thoroughly impressed. Day one my feet stopped hurting as much and cut down on sweaty feet. Work in a paper mill so it’s always hot and humid year round. Compression in the calves is something didn’t even know I needed. I no longer have to constantly pull up my socks due to the compression style in the calves. I now have 6 pairs and won’t wear anything else. I wear a size 9.5 in steel toe boots. Tried the large and they were a bit too big for my liking. I went down to the medium and that was a better fit for me. Overall I recommend these socks.

Really good socks!

I ordered a bundle of Camel City Socks for myself. They are living up to the hype! I'm on my feet in steel tools and concrete floors 9 hours a day. They last in the washing machine. My old socks last maybe 3 months before I had to replace them with new. Very happy with American made socks. We need more companies like them
