The Ironside Merino wool we use is 35% better at wicking sweat when compared to polyester socks, which is what most “sweat wicking” brands use. Our high density knit will keep your feet from sweating in your boots.

Materials & Care

53% Merino wool, 38% nylon, 9% spandex.

Why not 100% Merino wool? We actually use a 90% wool blend for the majority of our sock. But we use a nylon reinforcement on the heel and toe for greater abrasion resistance and durability. Plus, we use additional Spandex in the shaft of the sock for compression (and to help our socks stay up for 14 hours straight).

So in the parts that really matter for sweat wicking and comfort (the shaft, the top of the foot, and the ankle) our socks are 89% wool. But at the heel and toe where your boots make the most impact on your socks, there's a much higher % of nylon so you don't get holes.

That's why we can offer a 10-year durability guarantee that a lot of people think is crazy.

Machine wash in warm water on gentle cycle with socks inside-out. Do not bleach. Tumble dry on low or hang dry. Do not dry clean.

Heavy cushion in the toe and heel for steel toe boot comfort.
Full cushion through the calf, specifically designed for all day comfort with 6, 8, and 10 inch boots.

The Product it says it is!

Iam on my feet 15 hours a day in hot and demanding Industrial Maintenance activities. On the floor, in the air or in the basement. In all conditions to stress your feet to the test of long day.. I have 35 years in Industrial Manufacturing and never had a sock delivered out of the package to stand up to what they advertise. I am impressed that's a hard thing to do.. Now I will wait and see how long they hold up I have 9.5 years left to see it they go the distance.. I know one thing I'll get a replacement, cause during my order I was was offered a pair @ $13.97 Instead of $29... wrote them the app did not complete..

Great company and great product

I have been wearing these socks for my last two shifts at the fire station and they have lived up to the promise. Feet stay dry and odor free. One of the pairs that was sent to me I had a minor issue with. Customer service was simple and hassle free. I will definitely purchase more product in the future!

Phenomenal Socks

These are the real deal. My biggest concern with these is that they would fall down over the course of the day. Not at all. I work long hours up here in Alaska and these socks keep me dry and cool. Highly recommend these for anyone in construction or on their feet all day. And I feel great wearing American made socks

I have needed socks like these for a very long time so I broke out my wallet and sprung what I think is a ridiculous amount of money for friggin socks, especially only 3 pairs. I decided to look at it like this: I spent more $ on my last pair of shoes bc I got sick of what cheap ass made in wherever shoes were doing to my 66 year old feet, so why put lousy socks under said shoes when I dramatically improved my foot comfort with better shoes? So I spent the rediculous money for 3 pairs of socks and while I haven't had them that long yet to see if the re-enforced heels and toes will stand up, they are a whole lot better for my feet, giving great support, staying up on my legs, and not having the heel rip open as soon as I pull em up tight on my feet. So far, after a couple weeks with these socks, I feel it was money well spent, and I will buy more pairs around Christmas if my budget allows bc you can't find better socks than these, in my opinion, period. Solid product at a justifiable price....
