Materials & Care

53% Merino wool, 38% nylon, 9% spandex.

Why not 100% Merino wool? We actually use a 90% wool blend for the majority of our sock. But we use a nylon reinforcement on the heel and toe for greater abrasion resistance and durability. Plus, we use additional Spandex in the shaft of the sock for compression (and to help our socks stay up for 14 hours straight).

So in the parts that really matter for sweat wicking and comfort (the shaft, the top of the foot, and the ankle) our socks are 89% wool. But at the heel and toe where your boots make the most impact on your socks, there's a much higher % of nylon so you don't get holes.

That's why we can offer a 10-year durability guarantee that a lot of people think is crazy.

Machine wash in warm water on gentle cycle with socks inside-out. Do not bleach. Tumble dry on low or hang dry. Do not dry clean.

Cushion Details

Heavy cushion in the toe and heel for steel toe boot comfort.

As a person with wide feet and thick ankles I have always struggled to find good socks. These fit right out of the box like they were made for my feet and legs. Only used the first two pairs on consecutive days they kept my feet dry and comfortable all day. .

So far so good.

I started out thinking my shoes and boots were thee problem. So over the last couple years have purchased no less then 7 pairs of boots and numerous pairs of walking shoes. After the last pair of expensive boots, I started thinking after seeing an ad for these socks on a Facebook. What do I have to lose? So I pulled the trigger and so far I am pleased. I work on my feet all day, come home do the hunny do list and finally end my day. Normally by that time, taking off my boots, my feet are sore and moist if not wet. Not with these camel city mill socks. So far they are holding up to the hype! Will be ordering more in the future!
