Materials & Care

53% Merino wool, 38% nylon, 9% spandex.

Why not 100% Merino wool? We actually use a 90% wool blend for the majority of our sock. But we use a nylon reinforcement on the heel and toe for greater abrasion resistance and durability. Plus, we use additional Spandex in the shaft of the sock for compression (and to help our socks stay up for 14 hours straight).

So in the parts that really matter for sweat wicking and comfort (the shaft, the top of the foot, and the ankle) our socks are 89% wool. But at the heel and toe where your boots make the most impact on your socks, there's a much higher % of nylon so you don't get holes.

That's why we can offer a 10-year durability guarantee that a lot of people think is crazy.

Machine wash in warm water on gentle cycle with socks inside-out. Do not bleach. Tumble dry on low or hang dry. Do not dry clean.

Then I saw a YouTube personality talking about Camel City Socks. I went to their site and saw what they had to offer. I was initially surprised at the cost, being fundamentally cheap, but I was willing to take a chance. So I ordered 5 pair of the 6" black work socks, because that is the height that I prefer. The American Flag on top of the instep was a bonus surprise when I took the first pair from the wrapper. I looked the socks over real good and liked what I saw. When I put them on I was quite favorably impressed with the way they felt and after wearing them for a week all day every day even more so now. I think I have found my new favorite sock maker and I think that they are well worth the price that I paid.
